Previous experience:
-
I have had three year's experience as a teaching assistant in lower and upper KS2, working alongside children with and without physical and behavioural needs.
-
Before I came to university, I worked in a fully integrated nursery for children with and without SEND.
-
During uni, I also worked evenings and weekends supporting children with autism (ages 4-13 years old).
-
During my Gap Year, I worked as an Au Pair in France, caring for four children before and after school.
After completing my PGCE and developing my teaching practice I would like to specialise in SEND and Specific Learning Difficulties with a view to training for a SENCO position.
With a career in teaching, I know I can use my skills to achieve my goal: to give children the best quality education they can have, taught to them by someone as passionate as they are. I am excited by the prospect of teaching, learning, and developing my practice, both during my PGCE adventure and beyond.
